Professor Jo Bensemann
Jo became the Head of School for the School of Management in 2019, after five years as Associate Head of School. Her academic background is in human resource management, tourism and entrepreneurship. She maintains research interests in entrepreneurship and innovation, agribusiness and family business, along with women and work.

What our students say
鈥淢assey Business School runs a start-up type competition. We had to form groups around ideas people had for new businesses and spend an intensive weekend doing research and getting input from experienced entrepreneurs. Then we pitched our idea to a panel of investors.鈥

Te Au Rangahau
Te Au Rangahau connects the M膩ori world with the business world through innovative research and advice to help M膩ori thrive in entrepreneurship and enterprise.
Management Analytics and Decision Making
The Management Analytics and Decision Making (MAD) group is an information and knowledge management research group, analysing the:
- human dimension of community and business computing
- adoption and diffusion of technology within society
- effect of the digital divide.
Massey People, Organisation, Work and Employment Research (MPOWER)
MPOWER is a cross-campus, cross-college and cross-institution initiative to enhance, promote and build on Massey鈥檚 expertise in the management of people in the workplace and organisations.
MPOWER鈥檚 core research areas include:
- human resource management (HRM)
- employment relations (ER)
- people management and performance
- equality, culture and diversity
- employee engagement, health and well-being.
